Privacy
Trust is the foundation of Undivided. This page explains, in plain language, how your journals, prayer requests, and notifications are stored and shared — and what always remains private.
Everything you write in your prayer journal, your reflections, and your "why" is stored against your account and visible only to you. Buddies and circle members cannot read them — there is no setting that exposes them.
Your entries are protected at the database level so that only your own signed-in session can read or change them.
The public prayer wall on the Stand with us page only ever shows a request when you deliberately tap "Share anonymously for prayer" on one of your own journal entries. Nothing is posted automatically.
Shared requests appear without your name, email, or any link back to your account. You can withdraw a shared request at any time with "Make private again", and it disappears from the wall.
Before a shared request appears publicly, it goes through a privacy review.
Accountability is about presence, not surveillance. Buddies and circle members can only see the things you explicitly allow: your days of freedom, reading and prayer streaks, and when you last checked in.
They never see what you read, wrote, prayed, or reflected on. If you press SOS, the buddies and circle members you chose receive an alert so they can reach out — that is the only automatic signal ever sent about you.
If you turn on notifications, we store a device token linked to your account so reminders and SOS alerts can reach your phone. This token identifies your device to the notification service — it does not contain your journal, prayers, or activity.
You can turn notifications off at any time from the Me page, which removes the token.
Daily chapters are provided through the English Standard Version API (Crossway) with a public fallback translation. Your reading progress is stored against your account so your streak and plan position follow you across devices.
Giving on the Stand with us page is processed securely by Stripe. Undivided never sees or stores your card details. If you give monthly, the email you provide lets you manage or cancel your gift yourself.
Donations are completely separate from your app account — giving is never required, and the app stays free.
We never sell your data. We never show advertising. We never share your journals, prayers, struggles, or progress with churches, leaders, or anyone else unless you explicitly share them yourself.
Undivided is discreet by design: nothing you do here is posted anywhere public without a deliberate action from you.
